During the daytime on January 17th, the Western Front will be open for those who want to listen or watch the remote streams from around the world, participate in streaming activities, and view the installations in the Grande Luxe.
noon - 1 pm PST mix and remix with CHOWDOWN by Laura Kavanaugh and Ian Birse at Neutral Ground, Regina. The sounds of the fiddle and animals grazing mixed with various Art's Birthday streams.
12:30 - 1:30 pm PST Connection with Society of Algorithm. "The formant synthesis piece" with Akihiro Kubota (Tokyo), Gívan Belá (born Guy van Belle, Praha), Isjtar (born Albert, Brussels), Western Front (Vancouver).
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm PST Listening to remote streams from Kunstradio and Ars Acustica.
2:30 pm - 3 pm PST Western Front streaming to satellite in Europe through Kunstradio, Ars Acustica, and the EBU.
3 pm - 4 pm PST Listening to remote streams and installation viewing.
4:00 pm - 6 pm PST Second Front online performance.
Second Front is a pioneering performance-art group in the popular online avatar world, Second Life. Second Front will be hosting a virtual decadent birthday bash for Art's Birthday. The working title for this live performance is "Binge/Purge". This performance will be projected into the main Luxe Hall to allow the Real World (RL) audience to also participate with them.
